THE JOURNEY SO FAR.... MAJOR HEALTH SECTOR ACHIEVEMENTS OF HON IBRAHIM MURTALA MUHAMMED IN TAMALE CENTRAL CONSTITUENCY.
The Honorable Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed has made significant contributions to the health sector as the Member of Parliament for Tamale Central. His key achievements include:
1. Medical School Scholarship Scheme: He personally funds a scholarship scheme for medical students from Tamale, regardless of political affiliation. To date, 45 students at various university levels have benefited from this initiative. Additionally, he has supported numerous university students in other programs, such as Nursing, Pharmacy, and Radiological Imaging, by covering their tuition fees.
2. Support to Health Facilities: He has provided various health facilities with medical equipment to enhance healthcare delivery in Tamale and nearby communities.
3. Construction of Health Facilities: Three fully completed and functional health facilities have been established: a clinic at Changli, another at Sakasaka, and a polyclinic at Gumbihini with four nurses' quarters. A new health facility project is set to commence soon at Buglan Fong.
4. Medical Support Fund: He has established a fund to assist underprivileged residents in accessing medical treatment.
These initiatives demonstrate his commitment to improving healthcare in Tamale Central.
