“Asking Me to Join TV3 Mentor Is Like Telling Sarkodie to Audition for America’s Got Talent” – Maccasio F!res Back at Robiccon

Ghanaian rap sensation Maccasio has clapped back at entertainment pundit Robiccon after the latter suggested on a live broadcast that the Northern music kingpin could still suggest joining TV3 Mentor, one of Ghana’s biggest music reality shows.

Robiccon argued that despite Maccasio’s exposure in the Northern Region, he still doesn’t “pass that level” in the music industry, hinting that the rapper might need a platform like Mentor to truly showcase himself.

But Maccasio, known for his massive fanbase “69 Army” and his ability to fill up stadiums in Tamale, did not take the comment with patience. In response, he threw a heavy punchline:

> “Asking me to join TV3 Mentor is like asking Sarkodie to audition for America’s Got Talent.”

With this analogy, Macca the 69 boss made it clear that his status in the music scene is already established, just as it would be absurd for a global icon like Sarkodie to contest in a talent hunt.

Over the years, Maccasio has built an enviable career with chart-topping hits, sold-out concerts, and collaborations with some of Ghana’s finest. His influence in Northern Ghana’s music industry is unmatched, and many fans believe he has already graduated from the level of talent discovery shows.

This latest clash has sparked heated debates on social media, with some siding with Robiccon’s opinion that Maccasio needs more nationwide exposure, while others argue that his achievements speak louder than any reality show stage.

One thing is clear: Maccasio has once again proven that he’s not just a rapper, but also a confident voice in Ghana’s music scene..
