Kakpagyili Zaachi Embarks on a Historic Journey.
In a bold and symbolic move, Kakpagyili Zaachi is set to walk on foot all the way from Tamale to Yendi in what he calls the “Walk To The Throne” a historic journey designed to honor tradition and highlight the significance of this year’s Damba Festival.
The festival, one of the most vibrant and culturally rich celebrations in Northern Ghana, brings together music, dance, history, and unity. This year’s edition promises to be extra special as S BIO will be hosting a massive Damba Festival celebration in Yendi on 20th September 2025. The event is expected to be a colorful blend of cultural displays, traditional drumming, dance, and electrifying musical performances.
The walk from Tamale to Yendi, which spans over 80 kilometers, is more than just a physical challenge. It symbolizes resilience, unity, and the enduring spirit of the Dagbon Kingdom. Many community members and supporters are expected to cheer him along the way, turning the journey into a moving procession of hope and cultural pride.
