"THIS IS ACTUALLY WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN FANCY GADAM AND HIS GODSON, ISRAHIM"
I spoke to both Israhim and Fancy Gadam about their back and forth, and it’s far from a promotional strategy, as most people seem to speculate.
According to Israhim, his godfather reached out to him with a request to adjust the date of his concert to accommodate his show with Shatta Wale. He said that appeal was a hard pill for him to swallow, as he had already invested in the project, even though he hadn’t yet paid for the stadium. So, he respectfully declined Fancy Gadam’s request—and he believes that didn’t sit well with Fancy Gadam, hence the call for the removal of his song.
Fancy Gadam, on the other hand, gave a somewhat similar account with a little bit of disparity. He said that, out of respect for Israhim, he attempted to negotiate a rescheduling of Israhim’s concert to make room for his own, since their events being close in proximity could potentially affect Israhim’s turnout. According to him, Israhim hadn’t incurred any significant costs at the time, so there shouldn’t have been much concern. Israhim promised to get back to him with a final decision, and Fancy Gadam anticipated a positive response. Unfortunately, however, Israhim gave him a firm “no.”
He added that Israhim suggested they both go ahead with their shows regardless of the timing. This “father-and-son” negotiation, he noted, happened without the knowledge of his management. His team wasn’t aware there was any tension between him and Israhim. So, when they updated Israhim's flyer, he had to take it down because he was not pleased.
He went on to say that after refusing to shift his concert, Israhim still approached him for a verse on the song BI3RIM, but he declined, so Israhim released it as a solo track. He felt disrespected by Israhim and saw no reason to offer help. He said he wasn’t even aware he was featured on the album until Israhim dropped the cover art and he saw his name on it. In his own words, he doesn’t even remember when he recorded that song with him. He had asked Israhim since last week to remove it, but Israhim resisted—and did not reply his WhatsApp messages until he finally broke the silence yesterday...
